Round five of the Enduro World Series rolled into Loudenville, France yesterday, and with it another doubleheader and, you guessed it, rain. Well technically it didn’t rain on race day, but it rained so much on practice day that the race organizers had to remove a stage, reducing Thursday’s racing to just four stages. 

By the time Miranda Miller, Connor Fearon, and Carlos Langelaan hit the trails, things had dried up considerably from Wednesday’s mudfest. Slippery trails weren’t going to be the team’s main concern though, the day’s stages were packed full of energy-sapping pedaling sections. The pace at the pointy of the EWS is incredibly high and caught all three Kona riders off-guard. 

Miranda would finish the day in 16th place while Connor would roll across the line in 39th, Carlos would round things out in a disappointing 76th. Racing for round six kicks off tomorrow with the prologue stage and then Sunday will host final stages.
